Course descriptions were handed out for the summer term, and… well, it’s interesting when you no longer have any options. Summers are notoriously bad for that- not a whole lot of selection, focus on the required courses, and the two I was lacking were nice enough to conflict. Luckily, I found a few courses I wouldn’t mind taking, realizing now that I’m lacking only one Ops course (my focus) which is offered in the Fall. Woot. I just hope it doesn’t conflict with Strategy, the programs’ capstone. So, without further ado, my courses:

Summer 1

  • BSEO 2401- Business Ethics & Social Performance (Monday) (What not to do, or if you have to do it, how to rationalize it so you don’t feel guilty)
  • BQOM 2904- Creativity & Problem Solving (Thursday) (The Professor used “a willingness to be devilishly clever” in the course description, and he comes reccomended by my Marketing Director. How could I resist!)

Summer 2

  • BMKT 2509- Marketing Planning and Strategy (Tuesday) (A mini precursor to Strategic Management, focusing on a competitive simulation within the class. Woooo, competition!)
  • BMKT 2569- Brand Management (Thursday) (Analysis of why people have brand loyalty, how to get it, and how to destroy someone elses, including focus on logos, brand lifetime, and other fun things like that)
