The original version of this site was built by Kashif Zama in 2000, who went on to join Mars Interactive in Chicago
In 2005 the Pittsburgh Regional Council decided it might be time to update the content of the site, and I used the opportunity to sneak a few interface enhancements into the design. To be completely honest, I completely rebuilt the application from the ground up, turning what was an application based around runtime swf loading (normal development practice in ’00) to a single controlling file that loaded an XML configuration and streamed flash encoded video as requested by the user.
After all was said and done, we still came in under budget and time, even though the AR never realized that I’d rebuilt the entire application from scratch. Whether that’s a document of my skill or a testament to our pricing methods I really can’t say, but I think the final product really speaks for itself

Michael,
I always wondered who took the time to rebuild it the right way and why?
thanks for doing justice to it
