The place I live

Sunday, February 19th, 2006

Let me tell you a story. A Rambling Story. Idle thoughts that have been spinning through my brain, some connected, some not.

This isn’t a particularly interesting story. It’s really not. It’s about this guy… you might know him. He lives here, in Pittsburgh, in a three bedroom, paying significantly less a month than practically everyone else. He has lived here long enough that his personality pervades everything- the apartment is divided into activity zones- the workout zone, the cooking zone, the couch zone, the productivity zone, the bed zone, the storage zone, the guest zone, the bathroom zone. Everything has it’s place, everything belongs somewhere, and yet the place feels… messy. No, not messy- lived in.

Taking a moment…

Monday, November 22nd, 2004

And thus I take a moment to give a somewhat more substantive update about my life. First of all, Julie came over Saturday. In and of itself that was wonderful, but it was compounded (focused, amplified) by me using that as an excuse to get off my ass to finally finish cleaning the apartment (I even have curtains!). Casa de Krotscheck is now ready to receive guests, and possesses three twin-or-larger sleeping surfaces in addition to my own bed. I don’t actually have sheets for them yet, but I can pick those up when guests make reservations.
